Biography

Dr. Ram Mahato’s is applying sound principles in pharmaceutical sciences in the context of the latest advances in life and material sciences to solve challenging drug delivery problems in therapeutics. Particularly, his research has provided unique insight into the design of gene delivery and expression systems, factors influencing their biodistribution and gene expression or silencing, the role of genetic modification of human islets for improved transplantation, and site-specific delivery of oligonucleotides and siRNA for treating liver fibrosis and prostate cancer.
