I am currently employed as an Associate Professor and previously Head of the Accounting Division within the School of Accountancy (SOA) at the University of the Witwatersrand for 7 years up until July 2020. I joined the university on the 1st of May 2007 as an academic. As a student emerging from an improvised socio-economic background, I was awarded an NSFAS loan and pursued my fully time undergraduate degrees and later self funded my postgraduate masters degrees at the University of the Witwatersrand while working and studying full time.
