Biography

Dr. Abdelnasser Mabrouk obtained his PhD. in thermo-economics desalination processes from the Suez University in Egypt in 2006. He has been a senior scientist at the Water Center, Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) since 2014. His focus area is developing desalination technology, using pilot plant-based novel ideas to reduce energy consumption, and improve reliability under harsh seawater conditions. He is also joint appointee at the College of Science and Engineering (CSE), HBKU where he teaches desalination technology courses.
