Biography

Donald G. Phinney is an alumnus of the University of Vermont and received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Temple University School of Medicine in 1990. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter, Florida. His lab combines basic and translational research with drug discovery to develop innovative and efficacious cell-based and RNA-targeting therapies for treating osteoporosis and cancer, and identify novel metrics to predict the potency of MSC-based therapies for different disease indications.
