Biography

?Dr Yogan Pillay is the Deputy Director-General at the South African National Department of Health and is responsible for the following health programmes: HIV & AIDS, TB and Maternal, Child and Women’s Health (MCWH). He is also the also the convener of Workstream 2: Clarification of the NHI benefits and services including the PHC ‘Lab’5 of the National Health Insurance. He has recently co-authored the ‘Textbook of International Health: global health in a dynamic world’ wi?th Drs Anne-Emanuelle Birn and Tim Holtz.
