Biography

Keith A. Horvath received M.D. degree from the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, in 1983. He finished his training in general and cardiothoracic surgery at the Brigham and Women's Hospital.,He joined the cardiac surgical faculty at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, in 1996. He is currently the Chief of the Cardiothoracic Surgery at Suburban Hospital, as well as the Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Research, National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, and an affiliate with Johns Hopkins Medical Center. His research interests include minimally invasive cardiac surgery, robotic assisted cardiac surgery, stem cell therapy, and xenotransplantation
